Corporate Apartments for Teams in Budapest — Booking Multiple Units for a Relocating Group (2026)

← LifeSpace Budapest Book Directly — No OTA Fees

When you’re relocating three, five, or twelve employees to Budapest at once, booking corporate apartments for a team is a completely different problem than booking one unit for one person. A single relocation is a rate and a move-in date. A group relocation is coordinating floor plans, contract start dates, invoicing, and — usually — getting everyone within walking distance of each other and the office or plant, all before the first person lands. Get it wrong and you’re juggling five separate landlords, five separate leases, and five different move-in experiences for people who are already stressed about relocating.

We manage 100+ apartments across Budapest and have placed relocating groups for manufacturing and engineering teams headed to the Göd and Komárom corridor, as well as corporate teams settling into offices in the V, VI, and IX districts. This is how we structure group bookings, and what to have ready before you call your provider.

Why Booking a Team Is Different From Booking One Employee

A single corporate booking is mostly about the apartment itself — size, district, workspace. A group booking adds a second layer of decisions that single placements don’t need:

  • Proximity between employees — should the team be in the same building, the same street, or just the same district? This affects morale, commuting logistics, and how easily a relocation coordinator can check in on everyone.
  • Staggered arrival dates — teams rarely land on the same day. Contracts need to start and end independently even when the units are booked as one package.
  • One point of contact — instead of five employees each fielding their own landlord communication, a group booking should route maintenance requests, extensions, and questions through a single account manager.
  • Consolidated invoicing — finance teams generally want one VAT invoice per billing period covering the whole group, not five separate invoices to reconcile.

What “One Building, One Invoice” Actually Looks Like

Where inventory allows, we place relocating groups in the same building or the same small cluster of buildings. That means employees who don’t know the city yet, and possibly don’t speak Hungarian, have colleagues one floor away rather than a taxi ride away. It also means our cleaning and maintenance team is servicing one address instead of five scattered ones, which in practice means faster response times for the group as a whole.

Same-Building vs Same-Neighborhood Placement

Same-building placement is ideal but depends on unit availability matching your team size and timeline — it’s easiest to secure with 4-6 weeks’ notice. When a single building can’t fit the whole group, we default to same-neighborhood placement instead, keeping everyone within a 5-10 minute walk of each other and of the nearest transit line to the office or plant. For teams headed to Göd or Komárom specifically, neighborhood placement is usually built around the shuttle or train pickup point rather than the city center — see our commute guide for Samsung SDI and SK On corporate housing for how that trade-off usually plays out.

What to Send Us Before You Book for a Group

Group bookings move faster — and land better apartments — when a relocation coordinator can send this in one message rather than five separate back-and-forths:

  • Number of employees and whether any are couples or bringing family
  • Expected arrival dates for each person, even if approximate
  • Assignment length per employee (these don’t have to match)
  • Office or plant location, so we can prioritize commute time
  • Budget per employee or a total monthly budget for the group
  • Whether the company needs one consolidated invoice or per-employee invoices

With that information, we can typically confirm unit availability and hold a building or cluster within a business day.

How Group Rates and Contracts Are Structured

Each employee still gets their own furnished unit, full kitchen, weekly in-house cleaning, and a dedicated 24-inch workspace monitor — group bookings don’t mean shared apartments or reduced standards. What changes is the paperwork: instead of negotiating and signing five separate agreements, the company signs one master agreement covering the group, with individual start and end dates handled as schedules within it. Depending on group size and total contract length, we can also offer modest volume terms compared to booking each unit individually, and official Hungarian company invoicing that consolidates the whole group into your normal AP cycle. For a sense of what an individual line item costs before multiplying it across a team, our Budapest Corporate Housing Budget 2026 guide breaks down typical per-employee, per-month costs.

Common Mistakes When Booking Corporate Housing for a Group

  • Booking too late. Securing 4-6 same-building units takes longer than securing one apartment. Start the conversation as soon as headcount and rough arrival windows are known, not after flights are booked.
  • Assuming one lease fits all timelines. If assignment lengths differ across the team, say so upfront — retrofitting different end dates into an existing group contract is harder than building them in from the start.
  • Skipping the onboarding pack. Employees arriving without a Hungarian SIM card, transit card, or basic orientation waste their first two or three days on logistics instead of settling in. Ask your provider whether an arrival pack is included.
  • Not naming a single point of contact. Without one, maintenance requests and questions come in from five different people through five different channels, and things get missed.

Quick Answers for HR Teams and Relocation Coordinators

Can we get one invoice for the whole group?

Yes — official Hungarian company invoicing can be consolidated into a single invoice per billing period covering every employee in the group, which is how most of our corporate clients prefer to process it through AP.

Do all employees need to arrive on the same date?

No. Group bookings are commonly staggered, with each unit’s lease starting when that employee actually arrives rather than on a single fixed date for the whole team.

How far in advance should we start booking for a team?

Ideally 4-6 weeks before the first arrival, especially if you want everyone in the same building. Later than that, same-neighborhood placement is still very achievable, but exact-building matches become harder to guarantee.

Can group members have different assignment lengths?

Yes — this is normal. A group contract can hold five different end dates for five different employees without needing five separate agreements.
