Short-term corporate housing in Budapest for a 2- to 12-week assignment in early 2027 comes down to one choice: a hotel room for stays of up to about a month, or a furnished apartment once the assignment runs longer or the employee needs a kitchen and a desk. Either way, book January and February arrivals before the end of December, ask for an all-inclusive monthly or nightly rate, and make sure the provider can issue an official Hungarian invoice to your company.
LifeSpace has managed apartments and hotels in Budapest since 2019. We run 100+ furnished apartments in Districts V, VI, VII, VIII, IX and XIV plus two hotels, and every January we house engineers, auditors, trainers and project teams arriving for the first quarter. This guide shows HR managers and relocation coordinators how to plan Q1 2027 assignments: what each stay length costs, which option fits, and what to sort out before the employee lands.
Why Q1 Assignments in Budapest Need Their Own Plan
January and February look easy on paper. Tourist demand is lower than in spring and summer, so there is usually more choice of apartments. In practice, three things catch companies out:
- Budgets reset, projects start at once. Many companies start new projects, plant ramp-ups and audit cycles in the first weeks of the year, so several assignees often need housing in the same fortnight. If you are placing employees at Samsung SDI in Göd or SK On in Iváncsa, our guide to commute times from Budapest to Göd and Iváncsa helps you choose the district first.
- Trade-fair weeks fill hotels. Hungexpo, Budapest’s main exhibition centre, hosts fairs in late January and mid-February. During those weeks exhibitors book hotel rooms across the city, especially on the Pest side.
- Winter changes the checklist. Heating, hot water and a short, well-lit walk to transport matter much more in January than in June. Our winter assignment heating and utilities checklist lists the questions to ask any provider.
Short-Term Corporate Housing Options by Assignment Length
The right format depends mostly on how long the employee stays. These are the reference bands we quote to companies; final prices depend on dates, unit and number of people, so ask us for current rates.
2–4 weeks: a hotel room with service
For short project visits, a hotel room is usually simplest. Our reference band for a hotel room booked for 14 nights or more is €60–90 per night, including weekly cleaning, linen and WiFi. Two hotels cover different needs:
- Triple M Hotel, District VIII: 40 rooms and 2 apartments, a 24/7 reception and its own restaurant. Good for employees landing on late flights, for first-time visitors who want someone on hand at any hour, and for project leads who prefer not to cook.
- Amadeus Hotel, District XIV: 39 rooms and free parking, which is rare in Budapest. It suits teams travelling with company cars or vans, technicians carrying tools, and exhibitors who drive equipment to a fair.
1–3 months: a furnished studio or one-bedroom
From around four weeks, a furnished apartment usually gives better value and a better quality of life: a full kitchen, space to work and a home rather than a room. Our reference band is €700–950 per month for a studio or one-bedroom, including weekly cleaning, linen and WiFi, invoiced to your company. Our detailed 3-month apartment vs hotel cost comparison shows where the break-even point sits for longer assignments.
Senior staff, couples or two colleagues sharing
A two-bedroom apartment is €1,000–1,500 per month in our reference bands. Two engineers on the same shift pattern often share one, which can cut the per-person cost compared with two separate studios. Agree the sharing rules in advance; not everyone wants a flatmate for three months.

Request Corporate Rate Card →What Short-Term Corporate Housing in Budapest Should Include
When you compare quotes, check that the rate covers everything the employee needs from day one. Hidden extras are the most common reason a cheap quote ends up expensive. A complete short-term package should include:
- Utilities and heating in one price, with no Hungarian-language bills for the employee to deal with.
- Weekly cleaning and fresh linen. At LifeSpace this is done by our own in-house cleaning and laundry team, not an outside contractor, so standards stay the same across every unit and issues get fixed quickly.
- WiFi suitable for video calls and a proper place to work.
- A local contact who speaks the employee’s language. Our team speaks English, Hungarian, Vietnamese and Chinese, which helps with assignees from Asia and with the paperwork side in Hungary.
- An official company invoice issued to your legal entity. Our VAT invoice guide for finance teams explains what details to send.
- Clear extension and early-departure terms, because Q1 projects often slip by a week or two.
Choosing the District for a Q1 Assignment
Budapest is compact, but the district still shapes the employee’s day, especially in winter when nobody wants a long walk to the metro at 6am.
- Districts V, VI and VII: central, walkable and full of restaurants. Good for consultants and office-based staff. Ask for a courtyard-facing bedroom if quiet nights matter.
- Districts VIII and IX: good value, strong tram and metro links, and close to the Triple M Hotel for teams that mix hotel rooms and apartments.
- District XIV (Zugló): calmer residential streets, larger apartments, the Amadeus Hotel with free parking, and convenient for teams driving to sites outside the city.
For groups, we can split a team between a hotel and nearby apartments and still keep one booking, one contact person and one invoice. Our guide to booking corporate housing for teams of 5+ explains how that works.
A Simple Timeline for January–February 2027 Arrivals
- November–early December: confirm headcount, arrival dates and expected length. Send us the dates, even if they are provisional; we can hold options.
- By mid-December: confirm units and sign the agreement. Teams arriving during trade-fair weeks in late January or mid-February should confirm earlier.
- Two weeks before arrival: share arrival times, flight numbers and any special needs (parking, ground floor, a second desk).
- Arrival week: the employee receives check-in instructions in English, Chinese or Vietnamese if needed. The first invoice goes to your company as agreed.
- Mid-assignment: if the project is extended, tell us as early as you can so the employee does not have to move.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum stay for short-term corporate housing in Budapest?
At LifeSpace our corporate hotel band applies to stays of 14 nights or more, and apartments are usually booked by the month. Shorter stays are possible; ask us for current rates for your dates.
Is a hotel or an apartment cheaper for a one-month assignment?
For about four weeks or longer, a furnished studio or one-bedroom (€700–950 per month in our reference band) usually costs less than a hotel room at €60–90 per night, and it adds a kitchen and a workspace. For two or three weeks, a hotel is often simpler.
Can you invoice our company directly?
Yes. We issue an official Hungarian invoice to your legal entity, with your tax number and purchase order reference if you need one.
Do you have parking for teams with company cars?
Yes. The Amadeus Hotel in District XIV has 39 rooms and free parking, which suits teams with vehicles and exhibitors attending fairs at Hungexpo.
Can your staff communicate with Asian employees?
Our team speaks English, Hungarian, Vietnamese and Chinese, so check-in instructions and day-to-day requests can be handled in those languages.
